Your guests' Hocking Hills wedding weekend: where to stay and what to do

Hocking Hills is a destination on its own, so a wedding here is the perfect excuse for a long weekend. Share this guide on your wedding website.
Where to stay
The wedding party can stay on the ranch at the Brick House (sleeps 10, hot tub, fireplace), and family can book Wildwood Cabin (sleeps 8, pool, disc golf) on the same property. See lodging at Red Brick Ranch and book direct to skip the booking-site fees. The wider area has hundreds of cabin rentals, so book early for October.
What to do
- Old Man's Cave. The park's most famous trail: waterfalls, a gorge and stone bridges.
- Ash Cave. A huge recess cave with a short, accessible trail. Great for older guests.
- Cedar Falls. One of the area's best waterfalls, especially after rain.
- Conkle's Hollow. A deep gorge with a rim trail for the hikers in the family.
- Lake Logan. Kayaks, fishing and a quiet picnic spot.
- Ziplines, canoe liveries and wineries round out the weekend.
A simple three-day plan
- Friday: Arrive, check in, hike Ash Cave, fire pit at the ranch.
- Saturday: Morning at Old Man's Cave, then the wedding.
- Sunday: Brunch, then Cedar Falls on the way home.
Trail conditions and hours change, so check the Ohio Department of Natural Resources pages for Hocking Hills State Park before you go.
